Person Mask
Find the Person Mask in the masks menu. Once selected, a neural network automatically detects and masks any prominent people in the shot, including their clothes and other items.
Once applied, there are several options to refine the mask. Softness, detail, and blur. A quality selector lets you choose between a faster result at the cost of having a slightly rougher mask, or a more accurate result. Useful if you’re creating a rough edit.
You also have the options to select between the full mask, the contour around the person or people, or to use the combined mask together with the contour. Vary the width and set it inside, outside, or in the centre.
The first option is called Mask. It offers regular settings for better mask performance. You can adjust the softness and details of the selected mask. These sliders allow you to refine and fine-tune mask selections or grab or release information. The Blur slider simply blurs mask edges to make them less sharp. The Inverted checkbox inverts the mask.
The second mask type is Contour. It masks only the contour of the person. You can also choose the contour style – outside, centre, and inside. Adjust the thickness of the mask with the width slider. Below, find Softness, Detail, and Blur.
The third mask type is Mask with Contour. It combines the full person mask with the contour, and you can refine its contour very accurately. And again, you can choose the contour style – outside, in the centre, and inside. Adjust the thickness of the mask with the width slider.
